AS2 - Task Four - Regulation
Here I am going to be going to make sure that I am not going to be running into any kinds of issues while I am filming my advert. I Have come up with this idea on my own and I have made sure that this whole idea was indeed my own idea because I know that if i have used an Idea that is not my own i will be done for copyright because I have not asked to use that persons Idea. It is the same with the music that I will be using for the background music that will be playing in the background because I will need permission before I can use it within the advert.
I also need to make sure that I do not use any kind of risky content that will upset anyone who is watching the advert. if I use risky content that will upset anyone I can get in a lot of trouble for what I have done and for not looking at the Regulations and the advert will either be taken down or will not be able to be put on TV, then all that money and hard work will be a waste of time. I also need to make sure that I am not using false advertising with the phone being water proof because if I say that the phone is water proof and the phone turns out not to be then I can get into a lot of trouble with ASA and BCAP because I have said something that the phone does not actually do which means I can be fined for the false advertising of the phone. You can look at more information on false advertising at www.asa.org.uk.

AS2 - Task Three: Requirements for a production
For my advert, I will have to find out where I will be filming, who will be in it, what they will be wearing, how much it is going to coast me and how long it will take me to film the advert. It is important to find out all this information before you begin to make your advert because that way it is easy for you to stay within that time frame and the budget. The client will want to know that the production will be carried out in the most cost effective way and this requires a team to be very well organised.
The place I will be filming this advert will be in the house. To be able to film this advert I will have to get the landlords agreement before i can do any kind of filming within the house hold.
The problems I can face while filming in the house is people tripping over the equipment, It can be busy with people walking in and out of the room during the filming or maybe the chance of the equipment of breaking and me having to have to pay out for everything and pay for the replacement of the camera.
The actresses I am going to have in this advert are going to be female and they are both 17. I will be paying them £20 an hour for their acting and they are rising actresses so this will be their first advert they are acting in. The general public will not have to sign a disclaimer because we will be filming inside the house.
The actors will be wearing natural clothes (such as Jeans and a top and shoes) to make it look like the actresses are two normal people having a normal conversation about the Sony new waterproof phone. The clothes that they will be wearing can easily be brought from top shop and the highest amount I will pay for the clothes will be £90.
I will be keeping the costumes in a wardrobe and the props in a cupboard so that they do not get damaged when we are not filming.
The time scale of the filming will be 2 weeks just to make sure I will get everything i need and it gives me time for me to re-shot if I really need to.
The budge for this advert is £730.95 for everything that I need to help make this advert.
The first thing I will need to look at is the technical Equipment. The equipment i will need will be a camera, a SD card, a mic and a tripod.
I can get all this from Hire a Camera and Amazon. To hire out a Cannon XF100 for 2 weeks will coast me £391.34.
For the SD card to buy will coast me £10.57 for a transcend 32GB premium SDHC class 10 UHS-1 300X Memory Card from Amazon.
For the Tripod to buy will coast me £49.99 for a XCSOURCE Professional Portable Magnesium Aluminium alloy Tripod Monopod & Ball Head For DSLR SLR Camera DV Canon Nikon Petax Sony Tripod Q-555 Max Height: 55.9", Max Load: 8KG LF393
For the boom I can get from Amazon and it will coast me £169 for Rode Rycote Videomic With Deadcat Wind Muff, Micro-Boom Pole and VC1 Cable.

Market Research
With this Samsung galaxy S3 advert, you have people waiting in a line for a knew IPhone, but they have people walking around talking about how amazing the new Samsung galaxy S3 is and what makes it better.
The good thing about this is that the Samsung company have made it clear to the audience all the good things about the Samsung galaxy S3 and all the amazing things that you can do with it like just touch the phones together to send things to each other and how good the screen is on the phone and how good the camera is on the phone. By making the Samsung Galaxy S3 stand out more from the Iphone, it causes people to want to go and buy the Samsung Galaxy S3 more then the Iphone. This helps make the Samsung Galaxy S3 more popular.
They have to be careful while doing this because if they make the phone to sound a lot better then the IPhone and it turns out to be not as good as they make it out to be, they can get into a lot of trouble for false advertising because the audience went and got the phone and it turned out to be a terrible and then people get upset with the Samsung Galaxy S3.
The good thing about the Sony company is that they have showed all the good things about the phone like it takes good pictures, good videos and that the phone may be water proof, meaning that you can take pictures when you are underwater and that the pictures come out very clear.
They have to be careful with what they say about the phone being "water proof" because if they say that the phone is water proof when it is really water resistant and they throw the phone into bath water and it stops working, it is false advertising. If you say a phone is water proof it needs to water proof if you have said the phone is water proof, then it really has to be water proof.
With this IPhone 5s advert, they make the face-time the main thing.
The good thing about this face-time advert is that it is telling people that they can face-time there loved ones so they don't have to just call them and hear their voice, but they can actually fully see them so it is easier to talk to them and see how they are actually reacting to whatever they are talking about. It also makes the camera look really clear when it is being used.
The IPhone company have made the face-time look so amazing and that it will work even if you are in a different country and that the camera is good. The problem with this that they can make the camera for face-time look good in the advert, but if you try and face-time someone with the IPhone and the signal is bad, it causes the phone camera to play up and be all fuzzy.
With this HTC ONE (M8) advert, they have the phone next to a IPhone and you have Siri talking to Cortana.
The good thing about this advert is that they are talking about all the good thing about the HTC ONE (M8) such as what it can do and how it can help you with things though out the day and makes itself look better then the IPhone so that more people will go and buy this phone and not the IPhone.
The bad thing about this advert is that it makes the IPhone look bad. They have to be careful with this because they could get into a lot of trouble with the Iphone company because of how they are making the IPhone look bad to other people who might have been interested in getting the Iphone.
The things that all these adverts have in common is that all talk about how good the phone and all the amazing things that the phone can do. I have also noticed that the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the HTC ONE (M8) both make fun out of the Iphone. I think this is because the Iphone has been the phone that lost of people wanted to get, so by making these's kind of adverts, it gets the attention of the Iphone audience to drop the Iphone and buy their phone.
